DALLAS, TEXAS (MARCH 13, 2009) – Charles Calise of Calise and Sedei has established a nonprofit organization, Brunch For A Bunch, which will host a series of four fundraising events for children’s charities each year. The organization's first event, scheduled for October 24, 2009 at Fearing’s Restaurant in the Ritz-Carlton, will benefit The Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
Brunch For A Bunch is a nonprofit organization dedicated to nourishing the souls of disadvantaged children. Held at fine-dining restaurants in Dallas and eventually nationwide, the purpose of each brunch event is to generate awareness and raise money to help four children's charities achieve their respective fundraising goals.
Charlie Calise explains, “Children are our nation’s future, and I believe in supporting the charitable organizations that give disadvantaged children the opportunity to realize their dreams.”
He chose Texas Scottish Rite Hospital because of the organization’s enormous impact on disadvantaged children’s lives, not only in the community but statewide.
Operation Smile, an international charity that provides free cleft palate surgeries to disadvantaged children, will be the next beneficiary of the events. Two other children’s charities have been selected and are pending as beneficiaries for the future events.
